Getweb Inc. is an IT company that connects experts from different tech industries. We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our team.
The ideal candidate for this position will have broad technical skills and extensive experience in this industry. As a result, the candidate should be able to design, develop and test the products required for the company’s needs.
Moreover, the candidate should be able to work with other developers in determining product strategy
Responsibilities:
- Architect, develop, and maintain enterprise-level web communications and marketing products and applications
- Stay up to date with web development best practices, specifically PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (React), and jQuery, integration of XML/XSLT, WordPress, Gutenberg, Drupal, Gatsby, and related frameworks, libraries, and other technologies necessary for creating communications and marketing platforms
- Help manage product development cycles from the planning stage through to execution and maintenance.
- Act as a liaison and consensus builder between groups when suggesting product-based solutions
- Help troubleshoot and resolve CMS issues, and create troubleshooting and debugging scripts
- Work with the Executive Director of Communications & Marketing, Director of Information Technology, and the Assistant Director for Creative and Web Services to develop and execute the web solutions strategy for our current client projects
- Maintain a deep understanding of UX best practices across multiple web platforms
- Act as a mentor to team members when necessary
Technical Competencies:
- Knowledge of functional or object-oriented programming
- Familiar with Team Foundation Server
- Understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, and offline storage
- Firm grasp of PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, TypeScript and all Js libraries
- Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
- Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. PHP, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
- Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MS SQL), web servers (e.g. IIS) and UI/UX design
- Maintaining awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on service offerings and products provided by IT
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
